Lifecycle of a compressor

compressor lifecycle chart

Industry spends more money on power for compressed air systems than on any other part of the manufacturing and process applications. Like the cars we drive today, which have become much more energy efficient in the past five years, so too have the compressors and compressed air solutions from CompAir. If your compressor is over five years old, you might be wasting thousands of pounds a year. Energy costs account for approximately 82% of the total cost over the life of the compressor – making energy efficiency solutions the number one priority.

So, what can you do to save 35% of the energy used for your compressed air system?

ian kidd aircareIt has been a great start to the year with the introduction of a new Sales Engineer to support our clients, old and new. We welcome Ian Kidd who has joined us with a wealth of knowledge in the Industry after working in Compressed Air for many years! Ian's first week has seen him working between both of our branches, meeting our team & receiving new product training. With planned improvements and growth throughout 2019-2020, the future looks bright! Welcome Ian Kidd!

Aircare were approached by a local college (Tresham) if we could provide some hands on experience for their HND in Engineering Students on compressors. Supporting some engineering know how in the Community.

Being a new challenge to us, our Engineering Manager John set up various compressors and scenarios in our Corby workshops We provided the students with manuals for the compressors in question and ran live rebuilding and fault finding, inviting them to hands on with the real McCoy.

The candidates were a 75kw air end failure, a 3 HP English built rotary vane compressor service and Compair C76 mobile compressor. Just some of the units we would approach in a days work.

Thank you very much for allowing us to visit your site last week to view the equipment. The time you allocated us to have the tutorial with John was really informative and will really help us with our upcoming assignments. We all really appreciated the booklet that you prepared for us regarding the different compressors.

Thanks

Jack, Alex, Jason, Sergey and Kyran
